we're going to Israel!!!
Yes, I know. Grant and I began praying months ago that if the Lord wanted us to go on this trip, that He would make a way. Feeling in our hearts that we were meant to go, Grant and I got our passports ready, sent our deposit in on faith, and then waited. Last week, we needed $5,000 and things looks pretty dim. But our God is ALWAYS an on-time God. He is never late. Today, we have all we need. So one week from today, my husband and I (with baby Lee in tow!) will board a plane with 20+ others including most of my family and Bro. Jack Daniels and will fly over the Atlantic towards the Holy Land.
We will spend a week touring the land, preaching, singing, and witnessing. We will take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, the sea that the feet of Jesus touched. We will walk through Jerusalem seeing the Garden of Gethsemane, Golgotha (Mt. Calvary) and the Garden Tomb. We will see the mount of Olives, Mt Carmel (where Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal), the Jordan river, Jericho, we will float in the Dead sea, and will walk in Nazareth and in Bethlehem. Simply put, it is a Jesus-lover's dream! To walk where Jesus walked, to travel to the land of the prophets, the land of the Bible; to be in the land where not only many of my heroes came from (like Esther, Deborah, Paul, John the Baptist, David) but where my Savior was born and crucified.
Grant and I want to thank everyone who made it possible for us to go. We are praying God will repay and bless you four-fold. Please be in prayer for us and our team as we "go forth" to the Holy Land. Please pray, of course, for safe traveling and good health, but mainly that the Gospel will be preached and received! To Him be all glory and honor.
